ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

Ponteland Medical group provides GP and family health services to patients in Ponteland, Darras Hall, Dinnington and surrounding areas.  We offer a wide range of clinics as well as GP appointments, and patients can often be seen by other healthcare professionals within the practice such as practice nurses and a pharmacist.

We are part of Northumbria Primary Care Limited which is a partnership between local GP surgeries and a top performing NHS trust, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

There is good disabled access in all our consulting rooms

Medical research

We are a research practice and suitable patients may be invited to participate in research on a  voluntary basis.

GP earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working at Ponteland Medical Group in the last financial year was £58,285.58 before tax and national insurance.

This is for 9 part-time GPs.

Veteran Friendly

We are a Veteran Friendly practice. This means that, as part of the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, we have a dedicated Clinician who has specialist knowledge of military related health conditions and veteran specific health services. This is important in helping ex-forces to get the best care and treatment.
